Why an Egyptian Mau! Many people have asked me why I chose to work and live with this breed. I always tell them that I fell in love with these amassing cats. I’ll never forget the first time a saw a Mau at a cat show in Sweden. It was a group of kittens and their mother. The color was silver and they had this amassing gooseberry green eyes, which is unique for this breed. After a couple of years, I decided to try to buy my first Mau. Someone in my cat club recommended I try to buy one from the USA. I contacted Lovisa Flärdh at Erendel Cattery, who was the first Egyptian Mau breeder here in Sweden. I’m so happy that I was able to contact Lovisa. She recommended I make contact with Melanie Morgan in the USA, who is breeding under the cattery name Emau. She opened a new world to me. I got my first queen from her, Emau’s Hope Eternal Spring. I wanted to honor my first queen by calling my cattery Eternal Spring.

I have a very small cattery because all my cats live in my home as family members. We are all living together. All the cats are indoor cats and they have the possibility to go out on an enclosed balcony. I’m based in Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden.
